Lincoln Beginner Head, 2019.

Please find a short message from Paddy looking for comments on the Beginner Head at Lincoln

For the past few years the University of Lincoln Rowing Club has been trying to run a head race aimed at beginners but unfortunately it has not attracted many entries and did not run at all in 2018. 

The University would like to continue running this competition if possible but would like to gauge the likely level of support from clubs and universities in the East Midlands.

The competition is aimed at rowers that have started rowing in the current year but could be opened up further to crews with low ranking points if there was enough interest. There are two divisions of 1500m each and rowers are encouraged to race twice if they wish.

The 2019 competition is scheduled for Sunday 24^th November and will take place on the River Witham in Lincoln.

 It would be very helpful if clubs and universities in the East Midlands could send any comments to head@lincoln-rowing.org.uk to let us know if they would be interested in supporting this competition or if they have any other suggestions that might encourage more crews to take part.
